Susan Barrett's Career Summary

Network Alchemy Ltd - May 1999 to June 2001
Susan was responsible for the creation of a training facility to develop and train technical courses for support and pre-sales engineers on the Alchemy Series. The Alchemy product range was designed to integrate both computer and telephony requirements for a small office and provided PBX, router and networking functionality. Susan was responsible for technical authoring that included writing application help text. Susan set up an online computer examination system for Alchemy accreditation. Susan was the main contact point for Alchemy Accredited Training Centres including train the trainer and monitoring their accreditation.

Harley West Training Ltd / Spring IT Training - June 1995 to May 1999
Susan started her training career at Harley West training Microsoft Windows user courses from Windows 3.1 to Windows NT 4 and 98, and Microsoft Office from v4 to 97 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Susan was also involved in the development of courses for clients such as The Court Service, Glaxo Wellcome plc, The Burton Group, Air Products and Merrill Lynch. Susan soon moved to Technical Training and qualified as a Microsoft Certified Trainer and Microsoft Certified Professional on Microsoft Windows NT4. Susan trained on Microsoft green book courses, Administrating Windows NT4.0 and Supporting NT4.0 Core Technologies.

Previous roles
Prior to becoming a trainer in 1995 Susan worked in secretarial roles for various companies in many different industries. This enables Susan to understand the many varying roles within a office environment to help staff get the most from the use of their PC and Microsoft applications together with the importance of the use of the telephone in the office and how its competent use is crucial to the efficient
running of an office.
